Happy New Year The Board of Directors of the Financial Planning Association of Southern Nevada wishes all of our members and affiliates a happy new year. They are very excited about the programs and projects we have lined up for 2008. This is going to be a very exciting year for the Financial Planning Association and our Chapter. Our sponsorship holiday specials were very successful lining up three new corporate sponsors, United Business Brokers, Howard Roitman & Associates, and CPS Insurance Services. Welcome aboard. |

News Briefs Our Pro-Bono Committee is working some additional programs for 2008. Staci met with Kaveida Allen from Clark County Community Resources Management and looked at their Summer Business Institute as a potential program to partner with. The program is very exciting and can be a major project for our Chapter. Merger in the offing. We
are currently exploring the possibility of merging with the FPA of Northern
Nevada to form a unified FPA of Nevada. We should have more details worked
out next week. When completed, this will increase our bargaining power and
give us more clout in Public Relations. We are
exploring some advertising and marketing strategies to promote chapter
members as financial professionals of choice in Sponsors. We still need more sponsors. If you know of a product or service provider that should be sponsoring our chapter, or if your company wants to become a corporate sponsor, let us know right away. Sponsors help us provide high quality programs while keeping the costs to members down. It’s also a terrific opportunity for sponsors to network and get new clients for their products and services.
